I grew up in a very modest family we did not have some tradition at Christmas.
now when I have my family I made my tradition.
Every year we go into the wood for a Christmas tree.
daughter and I love the most when snow falls then go for tree but my husband dos not like snow..
when we come home we put tree in the living room, put on tree decorations and daughter and I then make some cookies.
    this is our tradition..

  6. My fave tradition is making pierogi for our Christmas Eve supper. I learned how to make them from my mom who learned from her mom. I have done all 4 prompts for the blog candy. I even did a blog post about it which you can find here: http://2amscrapper.blogspot.com/2014/12/christmas-mouse-card.html

  7. My favorite time is putting out the "creche" (the stable). When my daughters were younger each had a turn to hide Baby Jesus and the next one had to find it...each day it got closer and closer to the creche until Christmas Day then we sang Happy Birthday to Jesus...
Today my daughters have their own family and now the grand-children are doing the same finding Baby Jesus, I hear my grnad-children talking about Baby Jesus and where they found him...it's so nice that my daughters carried the same traditions with their children...Fond memories!

  8. Thanks for the faboo blog candy offered this month! I am now a follower and have placed your badge on my blog. Looking forward to a new year with you! One of our family Christmas traditions started before my sisters and I had kids. It started innocently enough when my dad invited us to have mimosas with our Christmas cookies while we opened our stocking presents. We enjoyed that so much the next year we skipped the OJ and just drank champagne. By the third year we were toasting silly things like "Mom finished opening her stocking presents" or "Pat ate the last of her cookies." We don't have a lot of memories of that year. we were pretty much squiffed by the time we had to go to my Gram's for Christmas dinner. After that year, the Orange Juice came back to the tradition, and we don't go overboard (espoecially now that we all have kids and grandkids).
