Challenge #132 Midway: ANYTHING GOES CHRISTMAS with the Optional Twist…PEPPERMINT TWIST 🍬 🍭

Welcome back crafters! It is the 15th of the month and that means it is time for the midway of our current challenge. I hope that you and your families all continue to stay well in the various regions that you reside.

 

Right now, as we are halfway through the month of March, it is time to see what the Merry Maidens have been up to! Helen, from the Sleigh Belles is also joining during the midway. So if you haven't entered already, what are you waiting for? It is time to link up your Christmas and other holiday cards for March. Below you will find a refresher of the details for this challenge.

Challenge #132

  ANYTHING GOES with the 

Optional Twist: PEPPERMINT TWIST 🍬 🍭

Our theme, as always, is ANYTHING GOES CHRISTMAS (or in celebration of other December holidays). If you want to challenge yourself, you can always follow our optional twist of PEPPERMINT TWIST. This theme bursts with sugary sweetness. Experiment with classic peppermint swirls, candy-cane stripes, and other sweet peppermint themed treats. Use playful colour palettes by combining bold reds and snowy whites or by opting for soft pastels for a fresh twist. You could add some glossy accents, or use layered die-cuts to mimic candy texture. Finish off your card with a fun "minty fresh" sentiment to tie it all together. With a little twist and a lot of sweetness, your project is sure to look good enough to eat!

Keep in mind though, that you don't need to follow the twist to link up your cards and earn a free paper each month or for a chance to win your choice of TWO Christmas or Winter themed mini kits of digital papers from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles. Following the twist is simply for fun and to challenge yourself if you'd like.

While Christmas may still be a long way off, it is never too early to get started on all the Christmas and other December Holiday cards you are going to need when December finally rolls around!

Challenge #132

  ANYTHING GOES with the

Welcome Christmas Crafters! We're baaaacccccckkkkkkk! First and foremost, thank you so much to everyone who left a comment wishing me well! Your kindness was greatly appreciated and where possible (when an email address was left with the comment) I replied to say thank you personally. It was certainly a difficult haul and just as I was getting back on my feet that first week of March, I ended up succumbing to yet ANOTHER virus. Thankfully though, the second one wasn't anywhere near as bad as the first, though I did lose another full week to it! I had thought about taking April off as well but decided to try and get back on track. I can't promise how the rest of this year will go as I don't have a crystal ball; but when possible, I will try and get our challenges up and running.

And on that note, it is the first of the month and time for April's challenge to begin! I hope that you and your families are happy and well! While Christmas may still be quite a few months away, it is never too early to get started on all the Christmas and other December Holiday cards you are going to need when December finally rolls around!
