Challenge #68 Midway: Opt. Twist…SHIMMER & SHINE

Welcome back crafters! It is the 15th of the month and that means it is time for the midway of our current challenge. I hope that you and your families all continue to stay well in the various regions that you reside.

Right now, as we are halfway through the month of August, it is time to see what the Merry Maidens have been up to with their cute sets from Taylormade Cards 4 U, our guest sponsor this month!

http://taylormadecards4u.com/

Clicking on the DT names will take you to the individual blogs where you can check out the details for all these wonderful cards.

Each team member got to work with one of four different kits this month. If you are interested in purchasing the sponsor's kit featured in a particular card, you can click on the link indicated below the card to head to the page in the Taylormade Cards 4 U store where it can be found.

So if you haven't entered already, what are you waiting for? It is time to link up your Christmas and other holiday cards for August. Below you will find a refresher of the details for this challenge.

Please remember that this is a CARDS ONLY link up. While we've had some lovely tag entries, ornaments and other creative projects in the past, we've sadly had to disqualify them.

Challenge #68

 Optional Twist: SHIMMER & SHINE

If you want the chance to win this month's featured paper pack, be sure to add lots of SHIMMER and SHINE to your card by way of glitter, embossing powder, jewels or anything else that will make your card sparkle!

Keep in mind though, that you don't need to follow the twist to link up your cards and earn a free paper each month or for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate (for digital items only) from this month's sponsor, Taylormade Cards 4 U. You simply need to follow the twist if you'd like a chance to win this month's featured digital paper pack, Crumpled Chrome 1 (you can see a preview for this set by clicking HERE).

If you are new to this unique challenge, you can find out the impetus behind why I started it under the 'Introductions' tab. As this is a different kind of link up where we have both an Anything Goes Christmas or other December Holiday option AND an optional twist to follow, be sure to read all the details and rules you need to know in order to participate, by checking out the 'Challenge Details' tab (both tabs located at the top of the blog). I have provided a summary of the most important rules in the right sidebar.

If you would like a say in determining which digital paper will be offered to those who link up a minimum of two cards this month, be sure to vote in our poll. Click HERE to head there now.

Challenge #67 Winner Announcement

Hello there to all our Christmas crafting friends!  I'm popping in today to share the winners and our top three Stocking Stuffers from Challenge #67. I hope that you and your families continue to stay safe during this chaotic time in our lives.

July saw us with 72 entries added to our link up. Right now, it is time to get on with the finding out who our winners are.

Are you one of those lucky peeps?! Let's find out!

Jackie, you are the winner of TWO images from the All Dressed Up Stamps store, our guest sponsor for July (chosen by random.org based on all eligible entries).

Jackie, please send an email to the_12_moc_linkup {at} outlook {dot} com (or click HERE to bring the address up in your email program), with the subject, "12MoC Challenge #67 WINNER" to make arrangements to receive your prize. While I am currently caught up with all emails in this account, please note that it may take me a while to get back to you. Thank you for your patience. In the interim, please grab a copy of the winner badge below for your blog.

Next, it is time to get on with showcasing the top three. With so many wonderful entries to choose from, it is always such a difficult task for the design team. For Challenge #67, Margaret, Helen, and Lisa (myself) are presenting our favourite cards. So, without further ado, here are the Stocking Stuffers for July:

Congrats to our top three Stocking Stuffers! Hazel, Gina and Kylie, please grab a copy of the badge below for your blog.

Everyone who links up two cards each month is eligible to receive a free digital paper. Papers from last month have previously been sent out. If you were expecting one but haven't received it yet, please leave me a comment and I'll look into it for you.

The individuals who linked up a minimum of two cards each during the month of JULY qualifying them to receive the digital paper from that month, will receive the Horizontal Stripes Paper which received the majority of the votes. I have included the watermark of the paper, below...

To all of you who linked up during July, thanks ever so much! We are so happy to have all of you with us and hope that you'll continue to link up your holiday cards as you start or continue to work on your stockpile for 2020!!! Papers will be sent to the email address that qualifying participants used when they added their cards to the Link Up, as soon as I can manage!

As always, we are going to have a random draw from all the entries that followed the twist and give out a set of six digital papers to one lucky individual. The papers are all made so why not have an extra prize! Here is the watermark for the full set...

The winner of the
  Eclectic Mix 1 Mini Kit
from Challenge #67 is
#20. DAWN S.
(chosen by miniwebtool.com based on all eligible entries)
Dawn, as you linked up a minimum of two cards this month and were entitled to one of the papers from this set anyway, I'll just send out the full mini kit to you at the same time that I send out the individual paper to those who earned it this month (hopefully some time next week).

Well folks, that is it for this! If you haven't already, be sure to check out our current challenge going on now, with the Optional Twist this month of "Shimmer & Shine". There is still approx. three weeks to go and you can find out all the details along with the link up, by clicking HERE. We'll be back on August 15th with our midway so I hope you can join us again at that time. Then, please join us again on September 1st when we'll be back with our newest link up!

Take care and we'll see you all again on Saturday!

Until then,

Vote for August's Free Digi Paper!

Hey folks. It is the first of the month and that means our new Link Up has started. As such, it is time to vote on the digi paper from this month's paper pack that will be offered to those linking up two cards.

August's set is called Crumpled Chrome 1. Once again, it isn't a Christmas set per sé; however, most of the papers can still be used for Christmas cards and the set has the versatility to be used for other projects as well. Check out the preview...

Everyone who links up a minimum of two cards during the month of August will earn ONE of the digital papers from this set. The specific paper up for grabs will be shown during the winner announcement post. Additionally, one random winner who has followed the twist will earn the full set of papers.

If you would like a say in determining which one of these papers will be offered to those who link up a minimum of two cards this month, be sure to vote in our poll below. If there is a tie or no votes are cast, an executive decision will be made as to which paper is offered.

DIGI PAPER POLL
Please click "like" to choose the ONE paper that you would like offered up to participants who link up a minimum of two cards during the month of August. Poll will be open until August 31st, 11:59 p.m. ET. Please note that you can get a better idea of what the actual paper looks like by bringing the preview ABOVE up in the lightbox.

Challenge #68: Opt. Twist…SHIMMER & SHINE

Welcome Christmas Crafters!  It is the first day of a brand new month and it is time for our newest link up. Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to all those people enduring difficult situations and/or loss as this pandemic and other serious issues rage on throughout the world.

Whether you are finally looking to get a start on your Christmas and other December Holiday card pile or you already have a number of cards completed, we'd love to have you join us and add your cards to our Link Up for a chance to win some goodies!

If you are new to this unique challenge, you can find out the impetus behind why I created it under the Introductions tab and all the details you need to know in order to participate, by checking out the Challenge Details tab (both tabs located at the top of the blog). For your convenience, a summary of the most important rules can be found in the right sidebar under the heading Basic Rules Summary.

Oh, and apologies if something looks weird or funky. I've screamed several times during the making of this post due to the new Blogger editor. I've already sent feedback in for five different issues and there are definitely more! The only thing the new editor has done other than annoying the #&^* out of me is to increase the time I spend working on a post since they've removed a number of short cut options. When I created the Paper Poll post, I previewed it and it all looked great. When I went back to grab a link, parts of the post equalling to about half of it had randomly disappeared. Goodness only knows whether that will happen with this post too when it publishes. It was bad enough that one of my paragraphs, the link to the sponsor and the sentence with the link to the Paper Poll kept disappearing while I was working on it! Anyway, enough of my rant. I just hope that enough of the post publishes that it at least makes sense until I can get back online and check it!

Right now, time to get down to the business of our latest challenge. Here is what you need to know...

Challenge #68
