Challenge #79 Midway: Opt. Twist…Christmas in July (i.e. Anything Goes Christmas)

Welcome back crafters! It is the 15th of the month and that means it is time for the midway of our current challenge. I hope that you and your families all continue to stay well in the various regions that you reside.

As we are halfway through the month of July, it is time to see what the Merry Maidens have been up to. Since we don't have a sponsor this month, the team was presented with the opportunity to use anything they wanted for their card so they've all used a combo of images and sentiments they already own.

Clicking on the DT names will take you to the individual blogs where you can check out the specific details for all these wonderful cards.

So if you haven't entered already, what are you waiting for? It is time to link up your Christmas and other holiday cards for July. Below you will find a refresher of the details for this challenge.

Please remember that this is a CARDS ONLY link up. While we've had some lovely tag entries, ornaments and other creative projects in the past, we've sadly had to disqualify them.

Challenge #79: Christmas in July

(i.e. Anything Goes Christmas)

This month's link up is technically just for fun as we don't have a guest sponsor lined up. However, you'll still have the chance to win the mini paper kit up for grabs (you can see a preview for this set by clicking HERE). In fact, since there is no sponsored prize, I'll be giving away the paper pack to THREE lucky winners. Additionally, those of you who link up two cards during the month will still earn the free digi paper available. So, the only difference is that we won't have a sponsored prize for one lucky winner. We hope that this change won't dissuade you from joining us this month!

As far as the twist goes, we're leaving that wide open this month. Since many general challenge blogs have a 'Christmas in July' theme, we have decided to capitalize on this and have opted to effectively do the same with an ANYTHING GOES theme BUT don't forget that your card still has to be suitable for CHRISTMAS!

If you are new to this unique challenge, you can find out the impetus behind why I started it under the 'Introductions' tab. As this is a different kind of link up where we have both an Anything Goes Christmas or other December Holiday option AND an optional twist to follow, be sure to read all the details and rules you need to know in order to participate, by checking out the 'Challenge Details' tab (both tabs located at the top of the blog). I have provided a summary of the most important rules in the right sidebar.

If you would like a say in determining which digital paper will be offered to those who link up a minimum of two cards this month, be sure to vote in our poll. Click HERE to head there now.

Hello there to all our Christmas crafting friends!  I'm popping in today to share the winners and our top three Stocking Stuffers from Challenge #78 (Merry ChristMOUSE). I hope that you and your families continue to stay safe and healthy out there in your various locations in our world.

June saw us with 61 entries added to our link up. Right now, it is time to get on with the finding out who our winners are.

Are you one of those lucky peeps?! Let's find out!

Yvonne, you are the winner of TWO images from Hetty Clare, our guest sponsor for June (chosen by random.org based on all eligible entries).

Yvonne, please send an email to the_12_moc_linkup {at} outlook {dot} com (or click HERE to bring the address up in your email program), with the subject, "12MoC Challenge #78 WINNER" to make arrangements to receive your prize. Please note that it may take me a while to get back to you. Thank you for your patience. In the interim, please grab a copy of the winner badge below for your blog.

Next, it is time to get on with showcasing the top three. With so many wonderful entries to choose from, it is always such a difficult task for the design team. For Challenge #78, Margaret, Mandy and Lisa (myself) are presenting our favourite cards. So, without further ado, here are the Stocking Stuffers for June:

Congrats to our top three Stocking Stuffers! Katrina, Anita and Beckie, please grab a copy of the badge below for your blog.

Everyone who links up two cards each month is eligible to receive a free digital paper. Papers from last month have previously been sent out. If you were expecting one but haven't received it yet, please leave me a comment and I'll look into it for you.

The individuals who linked up a minimum of two cards each during the month of JUNE qualifying them to receive the digital paper from that month, will receive the Starry Sky Patterned Paper which received the most votes. I have included the watermark of the paper, below...

To all of you who linked up during June, thanks ever so much! We are so happy to have all of you with us and hope that you'll continue to link up your holiday cards as you begin or continue to work on your stockpile for 2021!!! Papers will be sent to the email address that qualifying participants used when they added their cards to the Link Up, as soon as I can manage!

As always, we are going to have a random draw from all the entries that followed the twist and give out a set of six digital papers to one lucky individual. The papers are all made so why not have an extra prize! Here is the watermark for the full set...

 The winner of the
 Merry ChristMOUSE Mini Kit
from Challenge #78
is
#20. LILIANE
(chosen by MiniWebtool based on all eligible entries)

Liliane, as you linked up a minimum of two cards this month and were entitled to one of the papers from this set anyway, I'll just send out the full mini kit to you at the same time that I send out the individual paper to those who earned it this month.

Well folks, that is it for this one! If you haven't already, be sure to check out our current challenge going on now, with the Optional Twist this month of "Christmas in July (i.e. Anything Goes Christmas)". There are still two weeks to go and you can find out all the details along with the link up, by clicking HERE. Challenge #79: Opt. Twist…Christmas in July (i.e. Anything Goes Christmas)

Hello, crafters! It is the first day of July and that means it is time for our next challenge to get under way!  I hope that you and your families continue to stay safe and healthy.

Typically, with it being the 1st of July, I'd be wishing my fellow Canadians a Happy Canada Day but this year this day is more of a sombre occasion. First off, my heart goes out to all the people living in the western part of this country dealing with unprecedented, extraordinary heat right now. As a result of all the intense heat these last several days, a fire started and took out almost an entire village--90% of Lytton B.C. is now gone. 62 more fires have started in just the last 24 hours alone! Additionally, close to 500 people in that same province have also died from heat related ailments. My understanding is that people in the Western states of the US are also experiencing this terrible weather.

On top of that, our nation is trying to reconcile itself with the horrific atrocities that our Indigenous population has suffered with the uncovering of more than 1148 unmarked graves of young children who were in residential schools. Canada Day this year is not a day for rejoicing. Instead, it is a day for reflection and thoughtfulness. My heart aches for all the pain so many people are feeling.

Now it is time to continue with the purpose for this post. I'm flabbergasted that it is already the start of July. That means that today, we are officially entering the second half of the year already! If you happen to send out a lot of cards during the holiday season and haven't started your pile yet, it is time to get cracking! If you've been slowly working on your pile, congratulations for getting an early start. Whichever category you fall into, I hope that you'll continue with the quest to work on all those Christmas and other December Holiday cards needed for year end AND share them with us here on our Link Up!

If you are new to this unique challenge, you can find out the impetus behind why I created it under the Introductions tab and all the details you need to know in order to participate, by checking out the Challenge Details tab (both tabs located at the top of the blog). For your convenience, a summary of the most important rules can be found in the right sidebar under the heading Basic Rules Summary.

Right now, it is time to get down to the business of our latest challenge. Here is what you need to know...

Challenge #79: Christmas in July

(i.e. Anything Goes Christmas)

We're doing things a bit different this month over here at The 12 Months of Christmas.

Now check out what the Sleigh Belles came up with to inspire you. Since we don't have a sponsor this month, the team was presented with the opportunity to use anything they wanted for their card. Some have chosen to work with images and others chose sentiments as the focus of their cards. Christine has two cards to share with you!

Clicking on the DT names will take you to the individual blogs where you can check out the specific details for all these wonderful cards.
