So if you haven't entered already, what are you waiting for? It is time to link up your Christmas and other holiday cards for September. Below you will find a refresher of the details for this challenge.

Please remember that this is a CARDS ONLY link up. While we've had some lovely tag entries, ornaments and other creative projects in the past, we've sadly had to disqualify them.

Challenge #81

 Optional Twist: Add some METALLIC

If you want the chance to win this month's featured paper pack, be sure that your card features something METALLIC. Add the shimmer of metal to your card by way of metallic markers, gold or silver glitter, embossing powder, wire or metal embellishments, or through the use of foil, chrome or other metallic type textures and papers, or any other way you can think of!

Keep in mind though, that you don't need to follow the twist to link up your cards and earn a free paper each month or for a chance to win a $10.00AU gift voucher from this month's sponsor, Beccy's Place. You simply need to follow the twist if you'd like a chance to win this month's featured digital paper pack, Embossed Metallic: Christmas Edition (you can see a preview for this set by clicking HERE).

If you are new to this unique challenge, you can find out the impetus behind why I started it under the 'Introductions' tab. As this is a different kind of link up where we have both an Anything Goes Christmas or other December Holiday option AND an optional twist to follow, be sure to read all the details and rules you need to know in order to participate, by checking out the 'Challenge Details' tab (both tabs located at the top of the blog). I have provided a summary of the most important rules in the right sidebar.

If you would like a say in determining which digital paper will be offered to those who link up a minimum of two cards this month, be sure to vote in our poll. Click HERE to head there now.

Vote for September's Free Digi Paper!

Hey folks. It is the first of the month and that means our new Link Up has started. As such, it is time to vote on the digi paper from this month's paper pack that will be offered to those linking up two cards.

September's set is called Embossed Metallic: Christmas Edition. This month's set features various Christmas patterns done in an embossed metal effect: holly and berries; gift boxes; candy canes; ornaments; pine boughs; snowflakes; stockings; mitts; lights; figgy pudding; stars; decorative Christmas trees and 'Merry Christmas' word art. PLEASE NOTE that the papers in this set are smaller than I typically make. Normally my papers are 3600 pixels by 3600 pixels (or 12 inches). Due to the nature of the technique used this month, it just looked better in a smaller size so these papers are 1800 pixels by 1800 pixels (or 6 inches). They'll still be suitable for card making but for anyone who does 12 x 12 size scrapbooking pages, this month's set won't be up to the job. In order to compensate for the reduced size, I made a full set of 12. Check out the preview...

Everyone who links up a minimum of two cards during the month of September will earn ONE of the digital papers from this set. The specific paper up for grabs will be shown during the winner announcement post.

If you would like a say in determining which one of these papers will be offered to those who link up a minimum of two cards this month, be sure to vote in our poll below. If there is a tie or no votes are cast, an executive decision will be made as to which paper is offered.

DIGI PAPER POLL
Please click "like" to choose the ONE paper that you would like offered up to participants who link up a minimum of two cards during the month of September. Poll will be open until September 30th, 11:59 p.m. ET. Please note that you can get a better idea of what the actual paper looks like by bringing the preview ABOVE up in the lightbox.

Ch. #81: Opt. Twist…Add some METALLIC

Welcome Christmas Crafters! It is the first day of a brand new month and time for our latest link up. I hope that you and your families are staying well!

As fall will soon be upon us, the months until Christmas are rapidly dwindling! Whether you are finally looking to get a start on your Christmas and other December Holiday card pile or you already have a number of cards completed, we'd love to have you join us and add your cards to our Link Up for a chance to win some goodies!

If you are new to this unique challenge, you can find out the impetus behind why I created it under the Introductions tab and all the details you need to know in order to participate, by checking out the Challenge Details tab (both tabs located at the top of the blog). For your convenience, a summary of the most important rules can be found in the right sidebar under the heading Basic Rules Summary.

Before we get started I just wanted to say a very special thanks to Donna R. who has recently left our team. Donna was an integral part of this team for five years and I'm not sure how I'll survive without her! Not only did she create awesome cards during her tenure with the team, she also helped me out behind the scenes these last couple of years. Donna's life is moving in an exciting new direction limiting her crafting time. She will be missed so very much! I hope that you all will join me in wishing Donna the absolute best as she moves forward with new adventures in her life!!!

Right now, it is time to get down to the business of our latest challenge. Here is what you need to know...

Talking about Beccy's Place, it is time to refresh ourselves with the details of this returning sponsor…

http://www.beccysplace.com/
My paper obsession began with scrapbooking in the late 1990s and has since evolved into card-making and digital drawing. There were a few years of decorative painting, teddy bear making and silk ribbon embroidery mixed in there too! I still dabble in each of those crafts, and many others, but I generally gravitate toward paper, which I find versatile and forgiving.

I started “doodling” little designs for cards back in 2009, which is when I started my blog and began sharing my images with other Cardies. From there I progressed to my very own online store selling digital drawings for cards and other paper craft projects. In 2012, Margaret Myers from Sparkle N Sprinkle contacted me with a proposal to make some of my designs into rubber stamps, which was a very exciting opportunity for me. Four years later, I decided to further expand my business by offering my very own range of clear stamps, which are also sold from my online store. My latest venture is a line of cutting dies that will coordinate with some of my most popular clear stamps. These days, when I’m not hanging out with my husband and kids, I spend a lot of time with other crafters and card makers, enjoying our shared passion for handcrafts. I can’t imagine a day without some sort of creative activity taking place, whether it’s designing a new image, hand-stitching a little toy or just taking some inspirational photographs.
